It's Finally Here!

Well, I leave for Israel this morning! I am still optimistic that I will have internet access at most of my hotels so the plan is still to blog throughout the trip. Pictures will follow as well. And to my colleagues at N&M, I do promise to be safe and not to forget to come back.

Let the adventure begin!!!

Most of the hotels in Israel have spotty and/or expensive wifi. Your better bet is to use the far better quality wifi found at most Cafes like the Aroma chain or Cafe Hillel. Looking forward to your blog posts and don't worry, it's a very safe country! You'll be back in one piece.

Have fun Josh! Remember to have some pics taken of you wearing some of the local headgear, preferably with you riding on an ill tempered camel!

Can't wait to here you're there! :) Hoping your flight was uneventful & that you're not forced to duct tape Uncle John. teehee.
Love the pics you've put on the site so far ~ your goofy ones made me lol! They're GREAT! :)

Dave - Our hotel tonight had free internet but it is VERY slow. Fast enough to check my iStock balance though! The rest of the places we are going to stay have good internet but as you mention, it isn't cheap!

Candi - Thanks, I will do my best to be moderately safe although it goes against my general nature!

dave - We saw some great Israeli garb on the plane yesterday. I'll have to see what I can do. I definitely want the camel shot though!
Anonymous - Uncle John has mostly behaved. He definitely has kept the group laughing thus far. I'll try to keep him out of trouble!

Avoid hotel Internet! Barring a few exceptions, it's mostly awful! Many Cafes are open 24 hrs a day and have very good wifi. Heck even the airport has free wifi! If you need any advice or help don't hesitate to call or email - jewlicious at gmail or 054 673 5873. As you might guess I'm a local!

For those of you worried about safety, the ride to the airport in the US was more dangerous than traveling in Israel. Especially with the Pope in town!

Happy photographing!
